Midterms::::::
...Yes it is that time again, Midterms. I thankfully only have one..

...but it is a killer! Part of this History exam is take home and we have to write a paper based on questions that my teacher has asks, and I believe it is one of my hardest papers yet...

...and then I look at this, and it keeps me going somehow:) But if only I had a kitchen to bake some cupcakes in...

:::Pictures are Worth a 1,000 Words::

There is a very well known phrase saying that pictures are worth a thousand words. Sometimes those thousand words can be very hurtful, but they can also be some of the most precious words anyone could ever know. I don't know how many pictures I have taken...hundreds maybe...or even thousands, but no matter how many pictures I have taken every picture is worth a precious thousand words to me. This is why I am always taking pictures. Sometimes I feel bad when my nieces and nephews whine when I say "lets get together to take a picture.." or when I get in the little ones faces and they push the camera away, but to me its all worth it. I love it when the kids all of the sudden start to show off for the camera. In one family get together or hanging out with friends I could easily take a couple hundred pictures...but I notice that usually only 40 out of the 200 pictures I take actually turn out. All of the other ones are either blurry, fuzzy, one person is not smiling, too much exposure, or there is a streak of movement. When I first started to take pictures, I thought only the perfectly clear, sharp and the one that everyone is smiling perfectly in were the only ones I could keep. But then I realized that the pictures that always tell the real story are the ones that aren't perfect. Who cares if a baby is crying their eyes out, or being goofy (this goes for adults too) and not cooperating by making silly faces instead of just smiling, because those are the real life moments. Life isn't perfect and yet you can make it seem so perfect. I don't know how many pictures I have... too many, I can't even find a place for half of my pictures. But no, I don't have too many. Why? Because every time is snap a shot, I'm saving that memory. Memories are so important to me. Memory may be something that I lose in the future, and I am going to spend my time today, tomorrow and for the rest of my time preserving memories. If a picture is worth a thousand words, than its worth being the annoying aunt or friend who always has a camera. So let me apologize to those who get annoyed with me and my camera, but what let me tell you...you're going to have to deal with it :) I want you all to be apart of my memories and there is no getting out of that! Pictures are worth a thousand words and those precious thousand words are worth remembering.
